If the law is followed in the enforcement then that is fine. Integrity of H1b program will be maintained. If arbitary and against the law then that should not be followed.

your views are correct and analysis looks o.k. too the problem is even the genuine ones get flushed away ..survival of the fittest is not working now at all !!! say a person from worldwide comes in eb3 and say he is just a car mechanic (I know few from south korea who are in this situation) ..they get GC faster than Indian / Chinese EB2 / EB3 applicant (with 10 years experience and good bank balance)
and Karma means ..do your work / duty and don't worry about results ..we need that ..i.e SEVERAL SMALL Campaigns (since big is not possible now due to members leaving IV / getting dejected that nothing is happening etc etc
let us not analyze and discuss too much ..we talk a lot and hence the karma that we get is more talk from so called Experts ..lets do numerous small campaigns ..at the very least people will start coming back to IV plus new memberships

If you think memo is illegal you can suggest and immpress IV to file a lawsuit. If it is clearly violation of law then filing lawsuit will not be that much costly. I see your other thread for asking opinion about fighting legally. I will be surprised if a few hundred will reply for that. This issue will be alive for a few days or weeks then IV members will forget when next VB comes

I deeply care about what is happening in my motherland. But this is not the right forum to discuss these issues. Immigration voice is a organization that represents skilled immigrants seeking to emigrate to US and I believe the type of conversation in this thread is not representative of legal immigrant's views (including the majority from India). I did clarify this with a Fragomen attorney and as per them though dates could technically be moved back in the middle of the month, this most likely may not happen in July and also maybe August since this depends on the number of approvals and not on the number of applications received. Even if there are tons of applications received, unless there are enough approvals happening simultaneously, dates would not retrogress in the middle of the month.
Ok, if the Fragomen page is the source of this rumor: can someone who is a Fragomen client ask their attorney about what's going on here. That might help clarify things a bit. (Given that they are the largest immigration law firm, there's bound to be many IV members for whom Fragomen is preparing documents.)

I hope this is not our last ditch effort or one of the last chips in our possession to further our goals of Greencard.
The crisis in united states is not just housing bubble but much more than that. I am not sure if this initiative (linking greencard and purchasing home) will find much traction in government or in medai given the complexity of the mess.
The currency collapse which we used to discuss is now gathering storm now. The recent runnup in Dollar is peaking now and is in downward trend. Analysts are already up in arms arguing that United states have to take massive debt (assuming China and arab world is ready to give) or they have to print currency to finance their bailouts.

Nope that's not correct. You file your business earnings through 1099 and not W2. It has nothing to do with H1-B. Good luck.
