In ac21 law; it doesn't say anything about the scenario if 140 is revoked by employer. It is totally silent to it.
AFAIK:
AC21 is not a law, just a guidance. Assume an immigration case goes to court hearing, the judge would completely ignore AC21 guidelines. Any employment per AC21 will be considered unlawful in this case. The probability of a case going to court is not very common though.

Nice link. When I looked at list of banks I realised that the 10% is about domestic deposits. How am I eligible for this? How can deposit and get the money back over time?
You open a resident account in a bank and file an Indian tax return for the earnings. If you need money outside India, you can remit $200,000 per person every year (i.e. $400,000 for a couple), which is a large enough limit for most circumstances.

Speakers urged the audience, many of whom are undocumented immigrants, to call their elected officials in support of the Kennedy-McCain immigration reform bill. Currently before the Senate, the measure would allow undocumented immigrants to remain in the United States and earn a chance to apply for permanent residency. An alternative bill that already passed the House of Representatives would turn the country�s 11 million undocumented immigrants into criminals, subject to arrest by local authorities. �If you are an undocumented immigrant in the United States, at the moment you have two choices: You can either stay put and hide, or you can lose everything you have,� said Kelly Fincham, executive directors of the newly formed Irish Lobby for Immigration Reform, which organized the meeting at St. Mary�s Help of Christians Catholic Church. Fincham urged those in attendance, even ones who cannot vote, to call or e-mail their U.S. senators and representatives and ask them to vote for the Kennedy-McCain bill. �Do you really want your future to be decided behind closed doors in Washington, or do you want to have a voice?� she asked. An early indicator of the success of her group, formed in December, was the attendance of U.S. Sen. Known as the Border Protection, Antiterrorism, and Illegal Immigration Control Act, the measure makes it harder for legal permanent residents to become U.S. citizens by allowing government officials to deny naturalization applications based on subjective information or secret evidence. The measure intensifies sanctions against employers who hire undocumented immigrants and requires them to confirm the authenticity of their workers� Social Security numbers. It gives local police the power to enforce immigration laws and penalizes states and cities that protect confidentiality of immigrant crime victims and witnesses. Other provisions would make drunken driving a deportable offense and mandate the construction of five double-layer border fences at a cost of $3.2 million per mile. Are there only 3 people suffering from namechecks?

I believe most of the members of IV are in the receipt/FP mode. Newly filed mass.
Yet to worry about the namecheck. And for EB3 and EB2 post 2004 filers the burning issue is still country wide quota.

Quite honestly I think the best value from an MBA is derived from the timing, i.e. where one is in his / her career. I had a B Com (Accounting) from University of Sydney, an American CPA, combined with 10 years of work experience whilst enrolling for the MBA. I knew ahead, the curriculum wasn't going to bring added technical knowledge, however, it did bring some new ways of approaching the business community. Having the opportunity to sit in a class room and share / hear experiences from some of the successful executives does broaden the thought process. The program also helps build / expand the network. Again, I didn't feel I learnt something groundbreaking on the technical aspects of accounting / financial analysis, or the everyday business etc, but I wouldn't say it was completely useless. Plus for some reason, the "tag" does help.
BTW, I'm not sure the background of those who provided you feedback. My sentiments are shared at least by 3 good friends. One is a Wharton Alum and the other two, from University of Toronto. All of whom had at least 14 years of work experience, and were Canadian Chartered Accountants at the time of enrollment. The feedback could vary depending on the backgrounds.

Is IV interested in doing a Freedom Of Information Act request to USCIS how and when they used up all visa numbers for EB3-India. That might show some information if they cooked the numbers if at all. We might get some more insight which monthly VISA bulletin does NOT give.

I think it should have minimal or no impact on your GC process. Somehow you can get gc. But what is the impact of case in your personal life that is more important. If you have an asset or money those are under risk. But if you have very less savings what they are going to achive by sueing you. Also did you have Insurance? Then they might put you and your Insurance company in lawsuit. Then your Insurance company may fight for you. If they win the case and court ask you to pay 1 million dollars then you can file bankruptsy protection and come out if you have very less money. Fighting is always better option than giving up. But again it is individual's decision. As you have option of going to India. But no such option for Americans

Starting a Recruiting company for Nurses will be a good idea now. There is a heavy shortage for Nurses in USA. It is easy to bring qualified nurses from India to USA. IV can start a recruiting company with the help of 5000 members.

For me the frustrating aspect is that my first son is in college. Arizona State University is forcing me to pay out-of-state fees and have stated that I could only pay in-state tuition after filing I-485! So the money I could have invested in business is going to college tuition. Another son is in senior class in high school and will be going to college next year. Yet another son will be going to college in 2008.
I have thought of going back to Nigeria but I'll like my sons to finish college here. So, I have decided to stay until I get GC. My wife and I are both studying for Masters (another big expense for us!).
We spend most of our time between studies, volunteering and other community activities.
Could others on this forum who have college-age kids tell me how they and their families are coping with expense of college tuition?
I have been to different state and I have stayed in different state. I think if an individual had stayed for one year in a state, the indivudual is eligible for in state tuition, that is the general rule I observed in all the state I have stayed. My wife is studying. I don't pay any fee for her. The tuition is covered under HOPE scholarship.

Right.But in your case, the guy who recieved your packet..might have mistakenly stamped the postmark date as the RD date . If so that is definitely their mistake. Wait a week or so to see what happens and if you dont' hear anything, take an infopass appointment to sort it out.

Advantages of EAD far outweigh the disadvantages. Unmarried individuals of PD 02,03,04(eb3) might have a reason to worry but not the rest.
there is one other catch in EAD (not just for unmarrieds): if your I-485 is denied you go immediately out-of-status and need to leave the US. If you have maintained H1, you can stay until that runs out (no further extensions though). So there is a safety net that H1 provides because of which many (esp. primary applicants) maintain their H1 even as they use AC21 etc. Also recommended by Murthy, Fragomen etc.
