I used to transfer money earlier by Remit2India (R2i) and sometimes C2i but since then they started making ( or your stealing) more brokerage money out of my hard earned dollars - i switched :cool:
Let me know how you feel the online SBI - they are always 15-10 p more than ICICI or CITI so at the end of year if you save average $25k you are anyway saving Rs 25k/year. Plus they maintain some ethics about tweaking rates and the exact day they dump the cash to your account - i got about 43.25 when market rate was 43.57 and those smart banks ( or thieves) were doing around 43.07..43.12

Not only that its a record time remittance from ICICI bank.

You are right to be cynical and without the vb helping us in a perverse way maybe the fundraising wouldve been doa. still, it just doesn't feel right - Im too tired to backit up in a convincing way now, maybe tomorrow- but as i said earliuer its just a gut feeling.

1)all lc's irrelevant of when they were approved have a 45 day life after rule gets published. within 45 days the lc has to be used.
2)Since there is no more substitution all lcs not used by the orignal applicant are dead after 45 days.
3)all substituion applications which do not have approved i140 are also dead at the time the rule is published.
This is what i have inferred and i may be wrong! Anyway no more cutting ahead in the queue or sale of lcs also no use anymore for i140 revoking for the employer!! Cheers for this rule!

The Article clarifies that that Congress has the power to regulate immigration. they used the power and created the INS laws we have today, which as per Congress is the hallmark of US immigration. We have to change those laws specific to EB.
You are muddling immigration laws with civil rights. Your argument about the current law being in violation of ANY constitutional right is completely baseless. You did not respond to my question about how the civil rights clauses you quoted have anything to do with immigration.

Everybody is trying to survive in this world ..diff people react differently to same situation..lying on resume/achievements is not illegal(reason y no body is prosecuted because of this fact..they are simply denied that benefit) however its unethical ..but iam not here to preach ethics.
A fictional scenario to check whether you are ready to take advantage of a loop hole if its in your favour.( A nice quote on this -Everybody likes discrimination when its in their favour and they dont raise their voice then)
My point to say all companies lie/manipulate things to certain extent..desi consultants atleast dont deprive lives like other BIG companies where shareholders are kept in dark until they realize that company is no more worth anything.
Iam not supporting any malpractises are anything anyways this is not a criminal thing its just immoral ..however if theres a loop hole and people want to chance it its upto them. They will be appropriately denied if they are caught, However its not like they are killing anybody.

I am a LEGAL immigrant how has waited in the line for Green Card for 10 years. I've paid my taxes, social security, medicare and followed the law. Immigration bureaucracy and inefficiency at USCIS has meant more than 250K of Green Cards within legal limits have gone waste leading to a very long wait for legal immigrants.
Please tell me what I should do - Wait another 10 years? Go back to home country? or jump the fence?

so those with substituted labor better hope it clears before april 2007, and they get to file i140 otherwise..they'll have to file a new labor..just hope DOL does not let them keep the old priority date..Im not being vindictive..just feel that its unfair that people buy labors for 20K and get green card using a shell company in 6 months.

What pissed people off, was your tone and disgust at the poor fellow and his qualifications, especially when you know little about his ability to carry out his job, or his background. In school, or on line -- he earned those degrees. Maybe he didn't have the financial resources to attend the best schools (I don�t know what is IGNOU). His employer has retained him, so perhaps he is good at what he does. He left his home, his family and traveled to some foreign shore to earn a living, not rob a bank. Show some respect. I collected my passport with the visa stamped yesterday from the VFS center in chennai. I sent an e-mail on tuesday to the consulate and i got a response from them saying it could take another 4 days approx and the delay was caused by the recent change and the introduction of the PIMS database. It looks like they are digging through your old records as well.
For those people whose passports have been delayed, it's most probably due to the PIMS database and i suggest strongly to send an e-mail with the subject line "PASSPORT PENDING for more than 5 days" and you would most often get the response the next day. Do not call the consulate as they don't tell you what you want to hear. The person who answers the call is an indian and he/she would not have much information to give you.

they do according to my lawyer and I got my welcome notice the last time sent to my PO BOX the first time they sent the Welcome notice they sent it to my physical address not PO BOX but because the address didn't have the C/O name of my friend and then my name so the mailman when He read the name and looked in the mailbox he didn't found my name so he returned it to the sender USCIS if USCIS wrote C/O...he would of let it (the mailman) the second time USCIS sent it to my PO BOX directly ( what they did they included the original envelope that was sen to my physical address with the return to sender tag and the time received and sent ... + the original Welcome notice with the physical address on it all these two item sent in another envelope sent to my PO BOX

This is tricky question . I am not sure what the right asnwer is, which i am also looking for.
Your 2011 I-94 is invalid once you came back with new parolee I-94. This much I am sure of.
I think you can work on h1 till ur current I-94 is valid (Here satus is parolee or H1b I am not sure) . After that you need to file an amendment to get another I-94 valid till 2011 again.
Or May be we need to file h1b amendement as soon as we come back to US on AP to get new I-94 till 2011.
Some body wrote that even with AP, at the POE if you show new h1B which is valid till 2011 they would issue I-94 till 2011, even though you dont have the valid h1b stamping on passport. Somebody else wrote that showing H1b papers would cause confusion to the POE officer with un-necessary side effcts
