When one switch employers using H1 transfer, the previous employer has to notify USCIS that you are no longer employed with them. The soft LUD's that you are seeing is a result of USCIS going back to the old employers and confirming that you are indeed not working with them...
Its just a procedural thing and nothing to worry about....

Based on the responses I got (or lack of), and based on my research and calling around in last few days, I have come to following conclusions:
* Buy only from US based company
* Buy only comprehensive coverage plan, not fixed
* Buy only from a reputed and licensed broker who has been in business for some time, who is willing to help even after the sale.
* No body covers pre-existing conditions. Here and there, somebody is claiming to cover them in some cases up to some extent, but there is really no evidence or consistent past record of they having actually covered, at least I can't find any. Therefore, don't believe or expect that anyone would cover them, unless you are shown the proof and convinced otherwise.
Above may not always be true or suitable for everyone, but that seems to be the general idea.
I read this everywhere about buying from US based company but after going through the plans I don't really see any benefit. I think none of visitor plans are of much help.
You can go for comprehensive plan and they will list some PPO network, but you cannot use that network for any illness other than likes of flu and diarrhea. Initially I was unders the impression that having PPO network would atleast help in getting negotiated rates for emergency treatment but after talking to them furthur, I found out that they won't provide negotiated rates for pre existing conditions. There is a comprehensive plan from Liason which provides small amount for pre existing but that is flat amount and they will not negotiate rates as it is not covered illness. Most emergencies ( stroke, seizure etc.) are always regarded as pre existing.
As for ICICI lombard, I have not used them but they list that emergency situations will be covered. I understand it will be big hastle to get any money out of them but these US based companies won;t even consider these situations.

This data is ambiguous from the USCIS. It very well could represent pending 140 petitions, in which case all the euphoria would turn to shock. We must try to get clarification about this before anything else.
One of the tables there mentions the NIW, that is determined at the 140 level, after that a 485 is a 485 and it goes into the EB2 queue. So when they list that in the breakdown, I suspect if they may be referring to 140s here. Additionally they list either no NIW140 or NIW-based 485s from the NSC. If they are referring to NIW based 485s, this is incorrect, since I am one of those with an approved NIW and pending 485 at the NSC. There are others like me on IV physician forum.

I guess it has less to do with estimates, and more about looking at the landscape. If there are significant portion of responses are above your date, one might, for example, choose to initiate porting/reclassification process if one qualifies for it.

Actually, I thought what the heck and tried it from my personal email. And they responded in 2 days. The response was all BS...full of grammatical and factual errors with strange sentence constructions...seemed to have been texted by a highschooler.
What actually worked was POJ method of reaching NSC IO.
9/3/09: IO was curt, but I insisted on assigning my case to an IO.
9/4/09: IO was all sweet and honey...told me that my case had already been assigned to an IO because of my call the previous day. (This is important, folks - getting your case assigned to an IO). She was so approachable, I asked her if she could approve my case now. She obviously said no, but said she would see what she could do. This was the best response from NSC so far. Asked me to wait for one more day. It was long weekend, so had to wait 3 looooong days.
9/8/09: IO gave the approval news. 5 minutes later, my wife called and got a really annoying IO, who instead of looking up her case, went on a tirade. That night got the email.
9/14/09: Got the card.
I did try 2 Senator's office, a really hopeless CongressWoman, both Obamas, both Bidens, Napolitano, Mayorkas, Pelosi, Ombudsman, two NCSC SRs, AILA (through my attorney). And nothing worked. It was funny that the Senator's office called me to wait 60 more days. When I told her of my approval, she was short with me. So, in my case, nothing worked except the POJ method and personal perseverance. Keep on calling until you find a good IO to help you. Good luck!

We have to understand that there is a myriad of laws; INA, CFR's; USCIS policy binding memos; internal memos; appeals decisions, court cases, precedent aao decisions, precedent legal cases.
Now; the ac21 memo is a memo that uscis officers have to follow. However; the memo is not in accordanc with INA 245 or AC21.
INA 245 states that a valid and approved 140 is needed for a person to get lawful permanent residency.
ac21 says that a person can change jobs after 485 has been pending for more then 180 days.
The above two things are the law.
In ac21 law; it doesn't say anything about the scenario if 140 is revoked by employer. It is totally silent to it.

I am surprised how come PD is not current and USCIS denies I-131 based on the grounds that I-485 approved.
Something is definitely wrong here, unless its USCIS system glitch which considers the preadjudicated (pre-approved) cases as approved and then deby subsequent benefits associated with AoS (I-485) pending application.

Does anyone here have experience with commodity trading?
Can we trade in commodities on H1 or L1 status?
Is it too risky like forex trading?
Who are the online brokers offer commodity trading?
Is there a minimum account balance / trade required every month or so?
